Research Activities at RERI:

  • Studying fluid experiment data and designing case studies to compare various aspects of CO2 and N2 injection in fractured reservoirs.
  • Developing higher order black-oil reservoir simulator for fractured media with capillary pressure, using mixed finite element, discontinuous Galerkin and discrete fractures, and showing their advantages over dual porosity models in implementation of threshold capillary and simulating reinfiltration process.
